Ferg Subjects: Advanced and Standard English, Extension English, Modern History Fergus marked the HSC for many years and has tutored thousands of students to HSC success out of his Bondi Junction tuition centre. Fergus taught HSC English and Modern History for many years in schools and is a member of the English Teachers Assosication. Fergus has been extensively involved in writing course materials for both Advanced English and Standard English over many years. In his spare time Fergus loves to spend time with his wife of 40 years, watch Rugby, play golf, ski in New Zealand, go swimming, go travelling and reading.	Sarah Subjects: Advanced and Standard English, Extension 1 and Extension 2. Sarah has been teaching for over 6 years and marking HSC English for over 5 years. Sarah says that: "It is important for all students, even the top students, to reflect on and review their ideas and perspectives on their HSC texts, and to practise structured writing as often as possible". In her spare time, Sarah enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Yoga.

Donna Subjects: Advanced English, Standard English, Extension English 1 & Extension English 2. Donna marked the HSC Extension English 2 paper in 2009 and is again marking it in 2010. Donna has a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Humanities (Major in English Literature) and has been teaching since 2003. Donna is a member of the English Teachers Association.	Ross Subjects: Economics & Business Studies Ross has marked HSC Economics for the last four years and has also marked HSC Business Studies for one year. Ross is also our Economics and Business Studies teacher at our Bondi Junction tuition centre. Ross is passionate about helping his students produce excellent results in the subjects of Economics & Business Studies. In his spare time, Ross loves spending time with his young family.

Sonia Subjects: Legal Studies & Business Studies Sonia has been marking HSC Legal Studies since 2001 and has also marked HSC Business Studies for one year. "In my experience, students who consistently submit essays for marking prior to the HSC understand what markers are looking for and are able to use the rubric and marking criteria to their advantage. Your results will only improve when you are regularly practicing exam style questions. The feedback you get from professional markers is the best way to ensure that you are answering the questions correctly and getting the best marks you possibly can. In addition, you are getting your mind and body ready for the exam setting and storing more information in your long term memory which will hopefully pop back up when you are sitting in the HSC exam!"	Andrea Subjects: English Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 Andrea has a genuine love and passion for teaching. She has been teaching English for 10 years and during that time has enjoyed the success of many of her students being placed on the HSC ‘Honour Roll'. Andrea has taught all levels of HSC English and is an experienced HSC marker. She has also completed a Masters in Education degree at the University of Sydney. Andrea prides herself on her ability to create a positive rapport with all of her students. She is able to make her students feel at ease and confident so they can perform to the best of their ability. Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She also enjoys visiting her family's farm in rural NSW.

Susan Subjects: English Standard and Advanced. Susan is an experienced English teacher, completing a masters degree at Sydney University. She has over 9 years of teaching experience and over 3 of marking HSC English and is dedicated to helping her students. Susan's advice to HSC students is to "Get that topic sentence right!" In her spare time, Susan cares for her 6 horses, 3 dogs, her cat, chooks, ducks and garden. She also paints and is learning to knit.	Rachel Subjects: English Standard and Advanced. Rachel is another great English marker the FergHSC students have access to. She is diligent and committed to helping any student do their best. She has 6 years of teaching experience and 2 years of HSC marking experience. As well as English, she is experienced in Literacy and Aesthetics. Rachel feels that success comes from determination. "Success is keeping at it when everyone else has given up." Rachel enjoys reading, writing, cooking and traveling.

Barry Subjects: Advanced and Standard English, Extension 1 and Modern History Barry is one of our most experienced teachers, having taught students for over 35 years and marking the HSC for 10. His dedication to his work is what makes him one of our best English and History Markers. Barry advises students to "Read, read and re-read texts till the details become embedded in your mind." Only then will you be able to fully understand and respond to them. In his spare time, Barry a range of activities including swimming laps, body surfing, walking, reading, writing satirical verse and serious poetry, playing cricket with his son and writing long letters to friends overseas.	Beth Subjects: Advanced and Standard English, Extension 1 and Extension 2. Beth is experienced HSC English marker who holds over 10 years of teaching experience and over 8 years of HSC marking. She knows the ins and outs of the HSC and is comitted to helping her students reach their full potential. Beth advises HSC students to "Get a good night's rest, as it will do wonders for your concentration span. " In her spare time, Beth cares for her children and enjoys spending time with them as well as gardening, reading and traveling with her family.

Marion Subjects: English Standard and Advanced. Marion is another of our highly experinced markers who has over 30 years of English teaching experience and 15 years of HSC marking experience. Her dedication to students and marking is surpassed only by her experience in the field. Marion is a strong believer in the fact that "You can never know your texts too well!" Marion enjoys Dance, Music and settling down to read the latest Crime Fiction novels.	Stephanie Subjects: Visual Arts & Studies of Religion. Stephanie is our resident Artist, having tought for over 8 years and marked HSC works for over 6 years. She continues to work hard to produce some of the finest works around and to help her students projects reach their greatest potential. Stephanie offers the following advice for HSC students: "PREPARE and PRACTICE. Always make sure you've read the question properly and answer all parts of the question in detail. Keep it in perspective, your value and the value of your life is far greater than any number they can give you at the end of the HSC, the adventure is just beginning. Rachel enjoys traveling to see the world and other cultures. Social Justice and Art making

Keiryn Subjects: Advanced and Standard English, Extension 1 and Extension 2. Keiryn's passion for teaching English to HSC students extends through over 13 years of teaching experience and 5 years of HSC English marking. Her committment in the classroom is carried over to her students here at FergHSC. Keiryn leaves this advice for HSC students "Read as many sample essays as possible and expose yourself to the work of students who have excelled - you will pick up some great ideas on how to write and structure your essays whilst revising content." Keiryn's spare time is spent reading, running, spending time with her two young children.	Tim Subjects: English Standard and Advanced. Tim is an experienced english teacher who has been in the field for over 25 years at different schools throughout Sydney. This experience allows him to keep up with the current HSC trends and mark essays with many different schools and styles in mind. He offers this advice: "Open your minds and read widely. Know your texts and you can beat the HSC." Tim spends his leisure time golfing, playing rugby, participating in triathlons and spending time with his wife.
