FergHSC has begun an exciting project with Merrylands High!!!

We are pleased to announce an exicting new project we are working on at Merrylands High!
In September of 2011 Head English teacher at Merrylands High, Andrew Pavlou, with the support of the school principal contacted us to discuss how FergHSC could work with the school to improve his school's HSC English results for the HSC of 2012.

The FergHSC website has an interactive system for building and writing fantastic HSC English essays. The website has been available since 2003 to students all over NSW and for the HSC of 2011 we had over 500 students across the state accessing the tools and systems that we have developed in collaboration with experienced HSC markers to develop their essay writing skills for assessment tasks and exam room responses.
Members of the FergHSC website can also access our team of experienced HSC markers for feedback and marking of their essays within 72 hours of submission.
With this in mind the entire class of 2012 at Merrylands High has signed up to use our website as a means of achieving the goal of improved results. In addition to having unlimited access to the FergHSC website resources (including video tutorials) the students are able to submit any practice writing to our experienced HSC marking team throughout their HSC journey. Fergus is also visiting the school on a weekly basis to support both the teachers and students in the use of the website.
We see the HSC as a campaign that needs to be started at the beginning of the HSC. This is a pro-active approach that accepts that students need to start writing, continue to write and be willing to make mistakes on their journey to a great results. Success in life as well as the HSC is about hitting the practice button regularly.
We realise that an integral part of this process is to constantly assert the benefits of a great HSC result as we all know it is only through education that an exciting working and leisure life is possible. So to the Merrylands cohort I say, let's go hard!!
