Dear Ferg and Jesse, Hope all is well and that you’re enjoying your break – I know I am! Just wanted to send you guys an email to once again thank you for all of the help that you have given me throughout the year, being at the office was an amazing experience, and I cannot imagine completing year 12 any other way. Also, last week I received my results which I am absolutely stoked with, so here they are. Advanced English 94/100 Extension 1 English 47/50 Extension 2 English 46/50 Design and Technology 94/100 Visual Arts 93/100 Business studies 91/100 Studies of Religion I 46/50 This placed me on the honour roll and an All Rounder for obtaining a band 6/E4 in 10 units. I was even more blown away the next day because I got an ATAR of: 97.85!!!! I couldn’t be any more happy with these marks and it made the holidays that much better. So thank you again for all of the help and motivation that pushed me to practice, submit, and work my hardest. I’m quite confident that this mark will get me into my first preference (Architecture at UNSW) as my mark is a full point above the cut off. I was also ecstatic to find out that I received a scholarship to UNSW due to academic merit and cannot wait to start already! Could you also please extend a big thank you to Finola and Kathy. Hey Ferg, Hope you and all the team are well, and enjoying the next round of squirmish teenagers on a spectrum of extremes (those who neglect and those who obsess over that HSC thingo). I got 95 for english, 48 for ext, 94 for ancient (which I submitted to for a little while), and 96.5 for my ATAR - absolutely stoked. Headed to Melbourne in a matter of weeks to start uni down there :) Thank you so much for all the help, and all our heated debates - they're some of my fondest memories of the hellish year. Looking back, it would have been really useful to hear a past student tell me this: All the stress heads of 2012 - your steam is not worth it, the year is long, and not every decimal is deal breaking. To the FergHSC team, ...I must say that going to the boot camp sessions before the HSC examinations really pushed me to do more study and I wished I attended the other boot camp sessions throughout Year 12. I strongly recommend the study bootcamps to anyone that has difficulty in focusing on their studies, particularly during the school holidays. I would also like to say how helpful the Business Studies tuition classes were. Ross, who helped me with Business Studies is an amazing tutor as he is very organised and is always giving our class extra material to use for assessment tasks and exams, which really help boost our marks... Hey Chris, I got my atar today and managed to get 85.45, which I was stoked about. I achieved band fives in all of my subjects, which was pretty much what I was hoping for. I attained an exam mark of 89 and a HSC mark of 85 in English :) This was my best exam mark out of all of my subjects. I just wanted to thank you for helping me achieve this fantastic result, I wanted to also express my appreciation for all your efforts in helping me over the past year and a half, I definitely would not have obtained these results without your assistance and dedication. Hey Ferg, it's Vince; Just a quick update, I just got my HSC results today, so I thought I\'d share them with you- more specifically English. I think you'd remember that the first night I came to Ferg was the night before my trial, in which I got a shocking 61/105; however, with constant revision and marking I slowly evolved my essays from 10's to finally 18-19's. Coming out of the examination, I didn't know what to expect- the questions moulded quite nicely and I was feeling substantially confident, however, by no means was I ready for the marks that I was going to achieve. In the actual HSC exam, I got a score of 91, however, regrettably, I had an assessment mark of 83 which brought me down to an 87- still amazing. If I was to give one piece of advice to any HSC student, it would be to go to Fergs- without your help, I would have been lucky to scrape through with a 75. Just for the record, I ended up with an ATAR of 90.25 :) so I'm ecstatic! Cheers, Vince. December 2010

G'day guys, terribly sorry for the late reply but I thought I'd better give back something to the website that gave me so much! Before coming across FergHSC.com.au I admit I was struggling with the HSC course, averaging around 75 percent in assignments and exams. When I was introduced to the concept of online tuition, I was at first skeptical of the impact it would have on someone like me who lived in the country without access to many of the resources that are available in urban ares. However, after the first 3 weeks of using the products and resources that FergHSC.com.ai provide I was CERTAIN that this was the answer to my HSC English woes. Through the access to HSC style marking and concise, relevant and constructive criticism I was able to develop strong and effective essays that were in the desired 'A' range. The benefits were not restricted to only essays however; the mock trials were an excellent resource that helped me understand what is needed for full marks in sections I and II - at a level that just wasn't available to me in my studies in the country. I ended up just missing out on a band 6 overall in English and I know I have FergHSC to thank for that. The lessons that are taught by this website are also applicable in so many other areas and the tricks and tips I learned I used in all of my other exams - helping me achieve an ATAR or 93.6 (a rank I was so surprised about!). I can't stress enough the help that this website gave me and would encourage anyone who is introduced to the site join straight away! Ferg and the team provide such a great service and I have already recommended it to all of the year 12 students at my school for 2010. I really appreciate the help you guys gave me during my HSC. I am quite pleased with my results and my ATAR. I was aiming for an ATAR of 80 as i only needed 78 for my course. I ended up getting 80.7 with the extra leverage of 5 bonus marks at UNSW due to the band 5s I recieved in my HSC results. My overall HSC Advanced English mark was 83. When i started with you guys i dead set thought i was going to get like 70 or something for English in my HSC, if that! English was my worst subject and i hated it. The seminars and the online submissions and Essay Building Templates etc were extremely helpful and provided many different insights and assistance into essay writing in relation to the various texts i studied at school in contrast to the ideas i received at school. The swiftness of the online essay marking made it really helpful and quite easy to improve the essays we had been writing for each text. I do admit when i first joined Ferg and the crew i didn’t write many essays but as i got more comfortable the essays started to flow out of me and i began to put in more and more work. Hey Ferg Firstly a BEYOND MASSIVE THANK YOU! You guys were my sanity and control during the HSC, you kept me level headed whilst everyone else was either lazing around or freaking out. In the HSC I got 80 for English (score! band 5) overall ATAR of 85, which i am quite happy with. The website was incredibly useful in helping me achieve my HSC score, being able to get feedback within 24hrs or even same day! was amazing because it allowed multiple opinions on my work. To be able to get fresh eyes to my work as appose to one person marking it who has been with the development of the work. Also the setting out of the EBT’s allowed for an effective study system that allowed me to know my work/texts and apply my knowledge to whatever question was thrown at me, as opposed to memorising general points which eventuate into paragraphs in your mind thus your repeating yourself or not answering the question. The variety of questions on the website was also really good especially because belonging was new and at school they weren't giving us as much of a variety of all the different styles of writing (lecture, essay...) and the website had a large variety of the content requirements for the questions. The points system was also really good because it is always good to have an extra incentive Would I recommend FergHSC to other students? I already have...to multiple people and quite a few had heard of you, and I will continue to recommend you. Once again thank you so much for you help and suport throughout my HSC (and previous), you told me I could get a B average when my teacher said at most I would get a high C, and for some to believe and to push me to do better meant a great deal to me. Using FergHSC saved my UAI. I got so much writing practice during the year – by the time the HSC English exams came around I was in auto-pilot!

At the end of year 11 I wasn't getting the marks I was hoping for.... I needed more feedback. .... the website offers feedback when you want it and get feedback within a couple of days. You can ask any questions you like.... you can get feedback when you need it. I tended to use it more at time when assessments were coming up. The feedback focuses on what the markers are looking for... it focuses on the course. A UAI of 98.8? I'm happy with that!

When I started doing assessments and using submissions, that's when it hit me that WOW! this is going to be useful. If was just amazing, you can't compare it. Definitely the mock trials and task questions were really helpful. It was really handy having all the practice questions, gave me somewhere to start. Color coded essays helped me understand what to include in the essays. The video lessons were good to get me back on track with essays... and I was getting a lot of feedback which was like being tutored online.

The markers gave me a lot of input... I was getting more than resources, it was online tuition.

The FergHSC website is a great resource for any HSC English student. With detailed and speedy feedback, even the week prior to the exams, Ferg and his team assist so many Year 12 students raise their marks. I received a 86 in my HSC for Advanced English, a mark that I couldn't have attained without the help from Interactive English. My name is Jingwen Zhang (also known as Mitsui on the website) and I am writing to thank you and everyone involved at Ferg HSC for all the help you have given me throughout the year. Before I found the site I was getting private tuitions without success, I was failing and getting 6/20 for assessments. It got up to a point where I couldn't afford the service anymore and quitted. I only used the site for one month and jumped in rank from 70th to 29th out of 129 people!
